A Celebration of Floyd “Pat” Hopson’s Life, age 92, of Wiergate, TX, will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper, TX with burial to follow at Weeks Chapel Cemetery in Harrisburg, TX. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until start of service, Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper.
Pat died Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at St. David Hospital in Austin, TX.
Pat was a native of Newton, TX and a former longtime resident of Houston, TX. He loved to be with his family and friends. He also enjoyed working with his cows and bees. He retired as a welder for Todd Shipyard of Houston.
Pat is survived by his son, Clint Hopson and his wife Judith Dianne of Houston, TX; daughters, Christine Humphrey and husband Raymond of Halletsville, TX, Sheila Anderson and husband Douglas of LaPort, TX and Tammy Real of Jasper, TX; brother, Frank Hopson of Jasper, TX; sister, Aunt Mutt of Wiergate, TX; fifteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ellen Hopson; wife of 50 years, Glorine Hopson; son, Purvis Larry Hopson; brother, Raymond Lloyd Hopson; three sisters, Ester, Gertrude and Viola.

Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper.
