Wanda Jean Foster Bazemore, 71, of Jasper passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at CHI St. Luke’s Hospital in Lufkin, Texas from a massive stroke and heart attack. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Shultz Funeral Home in Jasper. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Wanda Jean Bazemore was born to Billy Don and Greta Foster in Dallas, Texas on November 1, 1950 and was the first of four children. Wanda loved life and loved to travel with friends and family. She had a lifelong love of cats and had many throughout her life. One of her passions was fostering kittens for the Humane Society in Jasper. Family was so important to her and she liked planning get togethers with lots of her good cooking! She was a devoted, life long member of the Church of Christ in Jasper, Texas. She was very active in her church, and it was her greatest honor to serve the lord where where she could do so. She was part of the woman’s group who served meals for families, and other occasions as she loved to cook.

Wanda is survived by 3 brothers, Brad Foster and wife Debby of Tyler, Texas, Steve Foster and wife Laura of Lake Charles, LA, and Russell Foster of Jasper, Texas. A niece Laney Richard and husband Josh of Moss Bluff,LA, and nephews, Brent Foster, and Logan Foster of Lake Charles, LA, Brandon Foster and wife Renee of Fulshear, Texas and Brady Foster of Cash, Texas and numerous great nieces and nephews. Sister in laws Cindy Futrell, and Sandy Claxton of Virginia, & Lanelle Davis of Woodville, Texas. Wanda is preceded in death by her husband David Bazemore, her parents, Billy Don and Greta Foster, and grandparents B.D and Nettie Davis and Thomas and Gladys Mcquiston. Memorials may be made in Wanda’s memory to the Jasper Humane Society or the Church of Christ of Jasper, Texas.
