Glenda Joan Vickery, 79, of Sour Lake passed away on Monday, April 26, 2021 in Sour Lake. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, May 3, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Shultz Funeral Home in Jasper with interment to follow at Morse Cemetery in Buna. The family will greet friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

A native of Jasper, Alabama, Glenda was born on February 2, 1942 to John & Ellen Walker. A long-time resident of Beaumont, she lived in Sour Lake for the last twelve years. Glenda enjoyed sewing, arts, crafts and reading. Her most important title was that of Mom and Maw Maw. She was a devoted Maw Maw and loved her family very much. She is survived by her daughters Tracy Gallier of Sour Lake, Stacy Vickery of Lumberton, Colleen Powell & husband Michael of Vidor, Sabrina Trahan & husband Shannon of Sour Lake, and Tabatha Vickery & husband Randy of China; sister Edna Hayes of Leesville, Florida; grandchildren Leighia, Ashley, Samantha, Steven, Amber, Brittney, Lynn, Trace, Kaitlynn, Coy, Lee, Breann, Cheyenne, Savannah, Codi, Kari, Kyra, Cami, Cale & Koal; as well as 32 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents John & Ellen Walker; husband Bobby Walker; brothers Bill Walker, Ray Walker, Roger Walker, Gene Walker & Benson "Benny" Walker; as well as a daughter Carol Jones.
