A Celebration of Artie Faye Day’s Life, age 78, of Roganville, Texas, will be at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper, Texas with burial to follow at Friendship Cemetery near Roganville. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., January 16, 2023 at the funeral home.

Artie Faye passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas.

She was a former member of the Kirbyville Lions Club, HNA Association, and the Jasper Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Artie Faye was a 911 dispatcher for the Kirbyville Fire Department and several EMS agencies. She retired after twenty nine years. Artie Faye also received the “Resolution of Good Stewardship Awareness Award” for National Breast Cancer Month. She enjoyed spending time with family and grandkids. She loved setting on the porch with friends, talking, visiting, drinking coffee and trying to figure out what was going on in Roganville. Artie Faye enjoyed going across the river “Cha-Ching, Cha-Ching”.

She is survived by her son, Randy Day and wife Christy of Roganville, Texas; daughter, Dianna Hough and husband Mont of Sam Rayburn, Texas; brothers, Butch Brasher and Mike Brasher of Jasper, Texas; sisters, Frances Jones of Jasper, Texas and Elizabeth Allen of Beaumont, Texas; nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dascom and Oleta Brasher; husband, Walter Day; son, Derrell Day; brothers, Charles and Don Brasher and sisters, Doris Brack and Marie Robinson.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Friendship Cemetery, Roganville, Texas.

Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper.
