Bobbie A. Wigley Cowart, 89, of Beaumont, Texas, passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021at Harbor Hospice in Jasper, Texas. She was born on April 9, 1932, in the Ebenezer Community in Tyler County to George Steve and Polly (Rawls) Wigley.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 5, 2021 beginning at 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville with burial to follow in Ferrell Cemetery at Holly Fork in Tyler County. Officiating will be Chaplain Rollie Burr. Serving as pallbearers will be Wayne Rawls, John Wallace, Roger Hubbard, Nick Hubbard, Willie Wigley and Larry Grissom.

Bobbie graduated from Colmesneil High School in 1950. She married the love of her life, Charlie Cowart, that same year. They enjoyed traveling on vacations, fishing and good friends. After Charlie passed away in 1990, Bobbie traveled with her sister, Dorothy Best, and good friend, Margie Burr. Bobbie has resided in Beaumont for the past 71 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Beaumont, a member of the American Association of Medical Assistants, and the area chairwoman for the American heart Association in 1974. She worked for the Anesthesia Associates for 30 years.

Bobbie is survived by her brother, George Monroe Wigley of Beaumont; sister-in-law, Dorothy Wigley of Fred; nephews, Jerry W. Best and wife, Susan, of Jasper; Billy Joe Wigley of Fred; great nieces, Krystal Best Hubbard and husband, Roger, of Lexington; Amanda Best Hodgson and husband, Dwayne, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Kristen Wigley Denny of Whitehouse, Tennessee; and great nephew, Steven Wigley of Cape Giardeau, Missouri, along with a host of other family members and loved ones.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband of almost 40 years, Charlie Cowart; parents, George Steve and Polly (Rawls) Wigley; sister, Dorothy Wigley Best; brother, William Vernon Wigley and niece Janet Wigley Harvey.

Bobbie loved her family and her church but most of all she loved her Savior Jesus Christ.
