Linda DuBose, 72, of Huntington, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Sunday, July 18, 2021 at CHI St. Luke's Hospital in Lufkin, Texas.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 22, 2021 at Katy Baptist Church beginning at 9 a.m. until service time at 10 a.m. with burial to follow in Gregory Cemetery all in Colmesneil, Texas. Officiating will be Brother Lance Graham. Serving as pallbearers will be Robby Wendt, Bobby Patrick, Kevin Chambers, Dewayne Broussard, Johnathon DuBose and Darrin DuBose. Honorary pallbearers are Chris DuBose, David Chambers and J.W. Adkinson.
Linda was born April 22, 1949 in Red Bluff, California. She was a former longtime resident of Colmesneil and had lived the past 12 years in Huntington. Linda loved her family and enjoyed cooking. It has been said that if she had a spatula and skillet in her hand that she was like Van Gough with a paint brush and a canvas. In years past she enjoyed singing gospel at area churches. She was a former member of Katy Baptist Church in Colmesneil.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Dorothy Carty; husband of 50 years, Leslie Clarence DuBose, Sr.; son, Leslie Clarence DuBose, Jr.; granddaughter, Erica DuBose; brothers, Lennard Reagan and Gary Reagan.
She is survived by her daughter, Dottie Chambers and husband David of Huntington; sons, John DuBose and wife Jeanie of Colmesneil and Chris DuBose and wife Melissa of Fromberg, MT; sister, Marcy Cooper of Colmesneil; 10 grandchildren, Chris Chambers, Heather Wright, Darrell Chambers, Aubrey Citrano, Johnathon DuBose and wife Katie, Darrin DuBose and wife Haley, Nathan Chambers, Lexie DuBose, Kevin Chambers and Liana DuBose; and 15 great grandchildren.
Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Woodville, Texas.
