A celebration of Dorothy Carolyn Byerly’s Life, age 87, of Jasper, Texas, will be Saturday, November 2, 2019, from 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. at the Stringer and Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper.
Carolyn was a native and longtime resident of Jasper, TX. A 1949 graduate of Jasper High School, soon after graduation she married A.J. Byerly. They owned and operated Byerly’s Meat Market for many years. She was a longtime member of the Curtis United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the United Methodist Women and also served as a former church treasurer.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary Allen and husband Joe, of Lumberton, TX; and Kathy Fincannon of Jasper, TX; three grandchildren, Brian Allen,
Chris Fincannon and Laura Howard; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, A.J. Byerly;
son, Frank Robert Byerly and great-grandson, Josiah Allen.
