Jackie Miller Long, age 76, passed away in her sleep at her home Saturday morning, February 13, 2021 following a several month-long illness.

She is survived by her husband of 6 years, Jasper Long, daughters Stevilyn Ortiz & husband, Paul of Yardley, PA, Laurie Holland & husband, Paul of Douglass, TX, step-son Wayne Long & wife Dena of Baytown,TX, and step-daughter, Cindy Woods of Jasper, along with grandchildren Joshua Ortiz, Zachary Ortiz, Grant Holland, Jared Holland, Kaylin Long, Peyton Woods and Josie Woods, brother Stephen Kerr and wife Catherine, many nieces, nephews, and a host of other family.

Jackie is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Waymon Miller, and parents O.D. & Laura Kerr.

A native and lifelong resident of Jasper, she was a graduate of Japer High School, an active member of Curtis United Methodist Church, and worked in the banking industry in a number of different roles, including Vice President at First National Bank of Jasper, and most recently serving on their Board of Directors.

For everyone’s safety, a drive-by visitation will be held at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon on Tuesday, February 23, with a family graveside service to be held at a later time.

Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper.
