A celebration of Glenn Cloudy’s life, age 74, of Newton, will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Jasper with burial to follow at Trotti Cemetery.

Glenn died July 12, 2019 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was

a native of Nacogdoches where he graduated from Nacogdoches High School and from Steven F. Austin State University with his Bachelor Degree and received his Master Degree from Sam Houston University. After College he moved to Jasper and served as the Agriculture Teacher for over 29 years. After retirement he opened Howdy’s Liquor Stores in Rayburn, Newton, and Kirbyville and operated them for over 20 years. Until his death Glenn did contract mowing for the U. S. government.

Glenn is survived by his wife, of 27 years Cheryl Trotti Cloudy of Newton; two

sons, Matthew Calhoun of Silsbee and Sheb Cloudy & wife Amber of Jasper; one daughter, Tami Sykes & Husband Bobby of Raymond, MS; two sisters, Dorothy Finchum and Ann Kolb & husband David all of Nacogdoches; and seven grandchildren, Shawn Lawrence and wife Addie, Austin Lawrence, Simone Cloudy, Bryce Cloudy, Nick Barthol, Khari Calhoun, and Halle Calhoun.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J. T. and Evelyn Cloudy and two brothers

Jerry and Joe Cloudy.

Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper.
