Leonard Dewayne “Butch” Lewis, 79, of Woodville, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Woodville Health & Rehab in Woodville.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 from 10:00 AM to Noon at the Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville.

Butch was born November 20, 1939 to Gus Lewis and Evelyn Johnson in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He was an avid golfer. The last hole he played, #7, was a par. Butch was one of the happiest souls we’ve ever known. He brought joy into every room he entered.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gus and Evelyn Lewis; brother, Kenneth Lewis; and sister, Phyllis Holcombe.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Kathy King Lewis of Woodville; sons, Kevin Lewis and wife, Cindy of Kiefer, Oklahoma, Jason Voth and wife, Kelly of Woodville, Jeffrey Voth and wife, Krystal of Kountze; daughter, Kimberly Burrous and husband, David of Silsbee; brother, Junior Lewis of Kingston, Massachusetts; sister, Linda Sessions of Venice, Florida; grandchildren, Blake, Christopher, David, Kayla, Hayley, Haleigh, Alec, Luke, Jack, Carly, & Claire; great grandchildren, Lily, Holden, and Caroline.

Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Woodville.
