A Celebration of Glover Wayne Stephenson’s Life, age 81, of Jasper, TX will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 13, 2020 at The First Baptist Church in Jasper, TX.

Wayne passed away at his home in the Curtis Community surrounded by his family after a courageous, long hard-fought battle with cancer on Sunday, June 7, 2020
Known as G-Dee to his wife, Daddy Wayne/The Captain to his grandchildren, and G. Wayne to many. Wayne attended Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas. He was well-known in the Jasper area as a prominent realtor and owner of Wayne Stephenson Realtors and an MAI-designated real estate appraiser for 47 years. He was President of the Jasper Area Board of Realtors, President of the National Association of Real Estate Appraisers, President of the Jasper Lions Club, Deputy Governor of Texas Lions District 2-S1, President of the Jasper Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the Deacons at First Baptist Church, a recipient of the Temple-Inland Young Man of the Year Award, and served faithfully in the prison ministry through Gideons International for many years.
His love for his family was overshadowed only by his love for the Lord, which culminated in his writing and publishing two books, How to Live Forever and What It Means to be Born Again.
He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 62 years, Emma Jane Sims Stephenson; daughters, Kathryn Adcock and son-in-law Rusty; Sarah Mansour and son-in-law Jimmy; Amy Koellner and son-in-law Mark; grandchildren, Gabriela Perdichizzi, Isabella Perdichizzi, Sophia Perdichizzi, Madison Mansour, Michael Mansour, Ethan Koellner, Jonathan Koellner, Lucas Wayne Koellner, and Hope Koellner He is also survived by a host of extended family and friends.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, William Jennings Stephenson and Wilma Eulene Orton Stephenson and brothers Billy, Bobby, Royce, and Larry.
