Mary Alice Stanfield, 96, of Jasper passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at her home in the Curtis area. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 26,2019 with Visitation from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Shultz Funeral Home in Jasper, Texas. A private burial will be held at West Oaks Cemetery in Jasper, Texas at a later time.

Mary Alice was born on February 25, 1923 to Robert Franklin Anglin and Ada Frances Templeton Anglin in Caledonia, Arkansas. On December 21, 1940 she married Charles Marion Stanfield of Timpson, Texas and 8 years later moved to Texas where they worked and raised their family in the Gulf Coast area. Alice became a successful beautician and had her business in their home in Bacliff, Texas. In 1983 they moved to Jasper, Texas and enjoyed retirement by camping and traveling in their motorhome all over the U.S. They also enjoyed fishing and camping at Caney Creek on Lake Sam Rayburn. She loved her Lord and Savior, and was a faithful member of Beech Grove Baptist Church and especially loved her Annie Payne Sunday School Class.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents Robert Franklin Anglin and Ada Frances Templeton Anglin; her husband of 62 years Charles Marion Stanfield; her brothers LaVelle Anglin, Warren Anglin, Horace Anglin and Guy Anglin; a niece Bobbye Ruth Anglin; nephews Roger Allan Stanfield and Ralph Paul Anglin. She is survived by her son Charles Ray Stanfield and wife Jan of Topton, NC; and her daughter Linda Kalinowski and her husband Alex of Jasper, TX; her grandson Steve Stanfield and wife Robin of Minneapolis, MN: her granddaughter Stacey Everhardt of Minneapolis, MN; five great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
