Stephen Dale Odom, age 64, died Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at CHI St. Luke’s of the Woodlands after a long battle with disability.

A Celebration of Stephen Odom’s Life will be held at a graveside service, 3:00 p.m., Sunday, November 22, 2020 at Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper, Texas.

Stephen is a native of Beaumont, Texas and a former resident of Mesquite, Texas and Jasper, Texas. In 2015, he moved to Houston to be close to his family. A 1974 graduate of North Mesquite High School, he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Texas A&M University – Commerce and enjoyed playing both classical music and hymns. He often played piano for worship services in nursing homes.

Stephen is survived by his sister, Cynthia Crawford and her husband Mark of Houston, Texas and a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, R.L. and Betty Odom.

Memorials may be made to The First United Methodist Church, 329 North Bowie, Jasper, Texas 75951.

Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper.
