A celebration of Don “Double D” Davis’ Life, age 81, of Jasper, Texas, will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Jasper. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. Burial will follow at the Magnolia Cemetery in Holly Springs, TX.

Don passed from this life on November 24, 2019 in Newton, TX. A native and longtime resident of Jasper, Don was a 1956 Graduate of Jasper High School. After over 33 years, he retired from Coca-Cola as a Route Salesman. A former Deacon and active member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, he served as the Church Grounds Keeper for over 20 years. In his hunting days, he enjoyed hunting in the Holly Springs Hunting Club. A big bass fisherman, he was a founding member of the Jasper Bass Club.

Survivors include son, Lynn Davis and his wife Janis of Holly Springs, TX; daughter, Tammy Culberson of Beaumont, TX; Sister, Lyndal Moren of Jasper, TX; Four grandchildren, Dereck, Brooke, Andy and Jessica; Seven Great Grandchildren, Bryson, Christian, Jaxsyn, Reid, Conner, Heidi and Sawyer.

He was preceded in death by his wife of over 52 years, Martha Davis; his parents, James and Hazel Davis and his grandson, Damon Ratcliff.
