A celebration of Marilyn Maureen Bradshaw’s life, age 77, of Jasper, Texas, will be Friday, August 16, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Jasper, TX with burial following at Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 pm, Thursday, August 15, 2019, at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home.
Marilyn died August 13, 2019 at Woodland Heights Hospital in Lufkin, Texas.
Marilyn was a native of Florence, Alabama and a lifelong resident of Jasper, TX. She was a 1960 graduate of Jasper High School. She continued to keep the Class together for Reunions and Memorials. She owned and operated the Merle Norman Cosmetic Studio for 52 years in Jasper making her one of the oldest Merle Norman Stores in America. Her customers were more than customers, they were her friends. She enjoyed doing crafts. She loved her family beyond measure and especially loved cooking for them. She was a selfless person who was always about helping someone else.
Marilyn is survived by her husband of 58 years Spencer Bradshaw of Jasper, Texas; her daughter, Kim Morgan and her husband Darrell of Jasper and her grandson, Jayce Morgan, whom she affectionately called “Sug” and he called her his “GaGa”’ and a host of other family members and friends.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur James and Dorothy Mossburg; her brothers, James Ronnie Mossburg and Jackie Wayne Mossburg; sisters, Betty Stagner and Margaret Wilson.
Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper.
