A Celebration of James “Jim” Sellers’ Life, age 82, of Jasper, Texas, will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 15, 2021 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper, Texas.

Jim died Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Rayburn Health and Rehabilitation in Jasper, TX. Jim was a native of Point Enterprise, TX , former resident of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Jasper since 1979. He loved his family and his friends in Jasper. He was the owner and operator of Town & Country Exxon in Jasper, Texas. Jim was an active member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Jasper, where he will be fondly remembered.

Jim is survived by his wife of 45 years, the love of his life, Betty Sellers of Jasper, TX; his beloved daughter, Wendy Sellers of Jasper, TX his brother, David Sellers of Mexia, TX; grandson, Blake Andrew Sellers of Salt Lake City, Utah, whom he adored; he is also survived by his brother-in-law, Billy Wiliford of Jasper, TX; niece, Michelle Elder and husband Gene of Magnolia Springs, TX; two great nephews, Brady Elder of Magnolia Springs, TX and Hunter Elder of San Marcos, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Eliza Sellers; and his two sisters, Judy and Ann.

In honor of his best furry friend, Chloe, memorials may be made to the Jasper Animal Shelter, 506 CR 296, Jasper, TX 75951. Jim could be seen at the park daily taking Chloe on a walk or was it Chole really walking him?

Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper.
