Addie Louise Alford Oliver Wilson, 97 of Amarillo, Texas, passed away on March 7, 2023.
Graveside services will be held at the Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper, Texas, on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 2:00 P.M.
Louise was born on December 25, 1925, to Harry Comer Alford and Pearl Newman Alford, in Jasper, Texas. She grew up in Jasper, Texas and graduated from Jasper High School in 1942.
Louise had a love and passion for anything to do with music and was a very talented pianist. She played the piano for church services most of her life including the church services for Brookdale Assisted Living, where she was a resident for the last three years before she passed. Addie was also very artistic and loved hand embroidery and painting.
Those who knew Louise always enjoyed her company because she had a very outgoing personality and was social with everybody and never met a stranger. One of her favorite things in life was helping her brother HC with his Twelfth Night Parties held on January 6th of each year in his hometown of Jasper. Louise loved God, music, Family, and friends.
Louise was blessed with two amazing husbands during her life. She married Harvey in 1946 and enjoyed 53 wonderful years of happiness that included raising three boys that were the love of her life. After Harvey passed God blessed her with a marriage to Garrett Wilson. Both Harvey and Garret treated Louise like an angel providing her with many years of happiness.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents; Two husbands, Harvey Oliver, in 1999, and Joseph Garrett, in 2014; Son, Comer Oliver, in 1986; and One brother, HC Alford, in 2022.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Michael Oliver and wife, Joanne, of Amarillo, and Mark Oliver and wife, Pat, of Houston, Texas; Four grandchildren and several great and great-great-grandchildren.
