Timothy Allen Courtier, 71, of Hemphill, Texas passed away Monday, August 5, 2019 at his residence.

Tim was born in Renton, Washington on December 4, 1947. He had lived in Castor, Louisiana before moving to Sabine County in 1996.

Tim worked as a remote operator for Texas Eastern Products. He was a United States Navy Veteran, having served in Vietnam. He was a member of Pineland Baptist Church and the V. F. W. Post #10351 where he served as Chaplain and had previously served as Commander.

He is survived by with wife of 50 years, Linda Courtier of Hemphill; sons, Cary G. Courtier of Hemphill, Jason Allen Courtier and Joy of Little Cypress, and David Anthony Courtier and Melissa Adams of Hemphill; daughters, Colette Wallace and Douglas Kenebrew of Pineland and Carolyn Sherie Youngblood and James of Nacogdoches; brothers, Cary J. Courtier of Zavalla, Roy Williford of Beaumont, and Willie Williford of Little Cypress; sisters, Jeanette Hennigan of Deweyville, Gail Tabelin of Deweyville, and Lynn Brayof Vidor; grandchildren, Victoria, Valeriee, Timothy, Thomas, Patrick, Chase, Dylon, J’ana, Jonah, Rayne, Christian, Ryan, Shayna and Garrett; and great grandchildren, Chrislyn, Georgia, Jefferey, Drew, and Cole.

He was preceded in death by parents, Marvin Williford and Carol Ione Hunt Williford and sister, Paula Riley.

Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at Starr Funeral Home Chapel, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas with Bro. Rex White officiating.

Visitation will start at 11:00 a.m. prior to service.

Burial will follow services in Springhill Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by Sabine County Honor Guard and bagpipe music by Lary Fowler.

Serving as pallbearers are Patrick Erath, Thomas Erath, Timothy Erath, Chase Courtier, Jonah Courtier, Dylon Courtier, and Christian Courtier.
