A Memorial service to Celebrate the Life of Louise Elaine Jones Outhouse will be at 2 p.m., on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at The Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper, Texas with Reverend Drew Weber, Pastor of First United Methodist Church officiating, assisted by Elaine’s former pastor at the Jasper Presbyterian Church, Reverend Sharon Gazaway.
Louise Elaine Jones Outhouse, 81, of Jasper, Texas passed away on August 23, 2019 In Beaumont, Texas. Born Louise Elaine Jones on November 22, 1937, to Luther Allen Jones and Earline Fuller Jones, in Hazelhurst, Mississippi – Copiah County – she attended Robert E. Lee Grammar School in Jackson, Mississippi. When Elaine was 12, her father moved the family to Port Arthur, Texas. She obtained the rest of her education in Port Arthur while living in Groves, Texas.
She married the love of her life, Donald Outhouse, in 1958. They were married 35 years. Louise Elaine was a homemaker and longtime resident of Bridge City, Texas. She enjoyed traveling and was a teapot collector. She lived a few years in Junction, Texas prior to moving to Jasper, Texas in 1994. She was formerly a very active member of the Jasper Presbyterian Church and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Jasper at the time of her death.
She is survived by her brother, William F. (Bill) Jones and wife Mary Ann and Glen Jones and wife Michele all of Jasper, Texas; sisters, Joanna Jones Valdez and husband Peter of Jasper, TX; Mary Frances Jones Malone of Orange, Texas and Rose Marie Jones Herrin and husband Douglas of Bon Weir, Texas. She is also survived by a brother-in-law David Outhouse and Alice of Bridge City, Texas, many nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Luther Allen and Earline Fuller Jones; her husband, Donald Outhouse; and her son, Donald Wayne Outhouse, Jr.
