Willie Frances (affectionately known as "Penny" by family and friends) was the third child born July 2, 1925, in Woodville, Texas to the union of the late Albert and Alice Lucille Hafford. She graduated from Henry T. Scott High School in Woodville, Texas.

She accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age through Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where she was baptized and remained a life-long active member, until her health began to fail her.

Willie Frances “Penny” was married to the late Rivas Harrington, Jr. on February 7, 1944, and to this union four children was born, Dietric Van Harrington, of San Antonio, Texas, Earlynn Harrington Williams, Don Wayne Harrington, of Austin, Texas and Sharon Kay Harrington Jackson of Woodville, Texas. A devoted mother who always put the interest of her family first and saw to it that her children were given the best she could provide in loving care, spiritual nourishment and material comforts. A mother whom you saw fall to her knees each morning to thank God for another day’s journey and each night studied his word for guidance and understanding for she surely loved her God.

Her employment included private home for some 20 years and later hired as a machine operator at the Keller's Plant in Woodville--where she retired.

Willie Frances “Penny” Harrington at the age of 93, at home lovingly cared for by family departed this life on June 26, 2019.

Willie Frances “Penny” was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Hardy A. Hafford of Los Angeles, California and her sister, Mary Lucille Mitchell of Woodville, Texas.

Cherishing her memories are: Son, Dietric Van Harrington (Shelly) of San Antonio, Texas, Daughter, Earlynn Harrington Williams (Roy-deceased), Son, Don Wayne Harrington (Harriet-deceased) of Austin, Texas and Daughter, Sharon Kay Jackson (Aubrey) of Woodville, Texas and one Nephew Robert E. Cunigan (Dean) of Houma, Louisiana.

In addition, she leaves to mourn eleven (11) grandchildren and their spouses, twenty-two (22) great grandchildren, six (6) great-great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends left to cherish her memory.
