Mary Louise Smith Blankenship passed away on October 31, 2019, in Jasper, Texas. She was born on October 14, 1939, in De Ridder, Louisiana to Julius Murray Eaves and Mae Louise Marze Eaves. Mary loved the Lord, her family, and her church family at both First Baptist Church of Jasper and Little Cypress Baptist Church in Orange, TX. The light of her life was serving her Lord.
A visitation will be Thursday, November 7, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Jasper, Texas. Her funeral services will be Friday, November 8, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Jasper, with burial to follow at 2:30 p.m. at Cannon Cemetery, Merryville, Louisiana.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Lee Smith; her parents, Murray and Mae Eaves; her brother, Ronnie Eaves and son, Donald Dean Smith.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Blankenship of Jasper, Texas; two sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Tara Smith of Richmond, Virginia and Troy and Lynda Smith of Orange, Texas; one step-son and step-daughter-in-law Jimmy and Angela Blankenship of Wakefield, Virginia; one sister-in-law Patricia Christopher of Reklaw, Texas; six grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews, which she loved dearly.
