A celebration of Tommy H. Clark, Sr.’s life, age 93, of Newton, will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 8, 2019 at Holly Springs Baptist Church, with burial to following at Old Magnolia Cemetery in Holly Springs. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. before service.
Tommy died Friday, December 6, at Shady Acres Health and Rehabilitation. A native of Bronson, TX he was a longtime resident of Newton. He liked bowling and any kind of sports, loved baseball. He loved to be in the outdoors. He loved spending time with his family & grandchildren.
He is survived by two sons, Robert “Bob” K. Clark & wife, Sherry of Holly Springs and Curtis White of Newton; a daughter-in-law, Judy Clark of Kaufman, TX; five grandchildren Shane Clark, Heather Clark, Melissa Castillo, Stephanie Tarpley, & Stacy Cox; eleven great grand-children & three great great grandchildren; and two nephews Leon Clark and Roy Clark.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ida Clark; wife, MaryJo Clark; a son, Tommy H. Clark, Jr. and two brothers Hughie Clark and Leon Clark.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Holly Springs Baptist Church Building Fund, 7433 US Highway 190 East, Jasper, Texas 75951.
