Two children and an adult were reportedly injured in a late Friday afternoon accident involving an 18-wheeler about 10 miles west of Lufkin. It happened at the intersection of State Highways 103 and 7 in the Redtown Community.

Texas Department of Public Safety Sergeant David Hendrey said that 33-year-old Benjamin Bauld, of Livingston, was driving a 2014 Ford pickup truck on Highway 7 and tried to turn onto Highway 103, but he pulled out in front of and was hit by a 2014 Peterbilt truck-tractor semi-trailer driven by Jorge Vasquez, 31, of Krum.

Bauld, along with two children in the truck, a 10-year-old female and a 7- year-old male were transported to Woodland Height’s Hospital in Lufkin for treatment, while the truck driver was not injured.

There’s no update on the condition of the injured.
