The Jasper County Grand Jury recently convened and, after considering testimony and evidence submitted by Criminal District Attorney Anne Pickle, have indicted 21 defendants on 26 felony charges.

Samuel Paul Brister, 40, of Kirbyville – May 2018 charge of burglary of a building. Brister is accused of breaking into the Kirbyville Police Department evidence room and stealing marijuana.

Jeremy Thomas Busby, 42, of Kirbyville – March 2019 charges theft of property and theft of material (aluminum/bronze/copper/brass). Busby is accused of stealing copper wire and a Polaris side-by-side from Billy Minton, Jr.

Emily Jane Moore, 26, of Jasper – February 2019 charge of assault of a peace officer or judge. Moore is accused of assaulting Jasper Police Officer Brett Oberlechner.

Garry Dickey, 41, unknown place of residence – July 2018 charge of assault of a peace officer or judge. Dickey is accused of assaulting State Trooper Christopher L. Romans.

Patrick Earl Williams, 39, of Jasper – February 2019 charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, deadly conduct/discharging a firearm, and criminal mischief. Williams is accused of using a gun to open fire upon a car in which James Johnson was sitting.

Andre Tony Lacey, Jr., 26, of Woodville – December 2018 charge of aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury. Lacey is accused of assaulting Derika Calhoun.

Ebony Dionne Meredith, 38, of Jasper – September 2017, two charges of abandoning or endangering a child with criminal negligence. Meredith is accused of exposing a young child to drugs.

Senaca Lynn Bluitt, 42, of Jasper – March 2019 charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Bluitt is accused of assaulting Samantha Lynn McDaniel.

Randall Scott Nichols, 32, of Houston – January 2017 charge of theft of a firearm. Nichols is accused of stealing a firearm from James Ricks.

Lexie Lynn Lewis, 19, of Fred – October 2017 charge of forgery of a financial instrument. Lewis is accused of writing a forged check on the account of Carolyn Denmon.

Ashton Tyrell Sutton, 29, of Newton – October 2017 charge of credit/debit card abuse. Sutton is accused of using a Valero fuel fleet card which belonged to Dan Giego.

Victoria Lynn LeBlanc, 38, of Orange – November 2017 charge of abandoning or endangering a child with criminal negligence. LeBlanc is accused of using methamphetamine while pregnant.

Frank White, Jr., 43, of Jasper – April 2018 charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and possession of a controlled substance. White is accused of operating a vehicle without the permission of Faye White, and also being in possession of methamphetamine.

Emijah Shanet Lewis, 19, of Jasper – February 2019, four charges of credit/debit card abuse. Lewis is accused of making purchases with credit/debit cards that belonged to Bailey Blankenbaker, Kimberly Bertrand, and Brent Collins.

Angela Adel Coleman, 43, of Evadale – November 2017 charge of injury to a child/elderly/disabled person with reckless bodily injury. Coleman is accused of causing injuries to Ethan Trahan.

Derick Williams, 48, of Jasper – November 2017 charge abandoning or endangering a child with criminal negligence. Williams is accused of exposing a young child to drugs.

Roger Leon Hamilton, 58, of Newton – March 2018 charge of possession of a controlled substance.

Elijah Lee Waltz, 63, of Jasper – March 2018 charge of driving while intoxicated (3rd or more).

An indictment by the grand jury does not mean that the person named in the indictment is guilty of committing a crime, but instead it means that the grand jury members felt that enough evidence existed to merit a trial.
