DTP Food & Beverage, LLP has announced that they plan to open a sports bar & grill in the 4,200 square foot building that formerly housed Tamollie’s Mexican Restaurant on South Wheeler Street, which has been vacant for the past five years.

According to a press release, the establishment will be named “MVP’s”, and the company plans to have anywhere from thirty to fifty employees on the payroll.

In addition to libations, the business will also feature classic American fare.

Business partners Derek Billingsley, Tim Sowers, and Paul Noyola are the owners of MVP’s, with Billingsley serving as Beverage Director, Sowers serving as General Manager, and Noyola serving as Director of Marketing.

Billingsley is a veteran in the nightlife entertainment field with his very successful Honky Tonk Texas in Silsbee, along with sports related ventures in the Houston area.

Sowers is an award winning veteran in restaurant and nightclub management.

Noyola, a master promoter, is the longtime owner of Vektive Media in Jasper.

There’s no word on a target date for opening, but work has already begun on the building.
