Daily News & More is reporting that the Dairy Queen on Highway 96 in Pineland remains closed after the pavement under the drive-thru window collapsed, revealing a sinkhole about 12 feet deep. The incident occurred over the weekend as a man in a pickup truck was sitting at the window waiting for his food order.

One of the front tires fell into the hole, but fortunately there was only minor damage to the truck and the man was not injured.

Meanwhile, Dairy Queen corporate officials reportedly plan to have engineers to look at the issue and make a decision as to what should be done.
