Danny Brackin, Interim Director of the Jasper Newton County Public Health District has announced that Coronavirus shots scheduled for late this week have been delayed by one day. Another official with the medical providing entity said that it is due to them not being able to get to Beaumont to bring back the vaccine doses due to icy conditions.
According to Brackin, if you were scheduled to receive your vaccine shot on Thursday, it will instead be given on Friday, and if you were scheduled to receive your vaccine shot on Friday, it will instead be given on Saturday.
Additionally, Brackin said if you are physically disabled, you can go to the Health District on Monday to receive curbside service.
Brackin also emphasized that these are second round doses only, and they will not be giving first round doses this week.
