Jasper Youth Cheer finished an impressive 2nd place over the weekend during Pee Wee Cheer Competition in the Golden Triangle. The girls regularly cheer for the Jasper Pee Wee football teams, and they were there on the sidelines cheering them on during their Pee Wee Football Super Bowl wins on Sunday.
However, Saturday was their day to shine as they excelled in competition held at Hamshire-Fannett. Their theme for competition was “Who Let the Dogs Out”, and they wore face paint to that effect.
The younger squad, known as the “Lil Dogs”, is made up of: Raelynn, 5; Malaysia, 5; Nyla, 5; Aiyana, 7; Marion, 6; and Taleah, 8.
The older squad, known as the “Bulldogs”, is made up of: Tia, 11; CeMya, 11; Carsyn, 10; Aleya, 9; Tytanna, 9; Fernanda, 11; Carmen, 8; Jaliyah, 8; and MaKaylin, 8.
The teams are directed by Schwanda Scott, the Head Coach is Rosalin Lewis, and the Assistant Coach is Melissa Gilbert. Junior Assistant Coaches are Kelis Jones, 14, and Raelyn Morisey, 13.
