A Newton native accused of hitting and injuring a man, woman, and child in Beaumont is now free from the Jefferson County Jail under a $120,000.00 bond. It happened early Wednesday evening in the Oak Trace neighborhood in the west end of Beaumont.
21-year-old Kenlie Davis, who most recently listed Beaumont as her city of residence, is accused of fleeing on foot from her late model Kia passenger vehicle after it came to a stop in a front yard of a home. She was quickly located by police and arrested in the backyard of another nearby home.
She was later charged with 3 counts of intoxication assault and 3 counts of failure to stop and render aid.
KFDM 6 News is reporting that when this incident happened, Davis was out of jail on bond from a July 3rd arrest in Hardin County on a charge of possession of marijuana.
Meanwhile, the names of the victims have not yet been released and there’s no update on their condition.
