Three vehicles were damaged in a Tuesday morning chain-reaction accident in downtown Jasper. It happened shortly before 8:00 on Houston Street just east of Main Street.

Those at the scene said that two vehicles, a late model BMW X-3 and a 2019 Nissan Armada, were on the westbound lane and stopped for a red light at Main Street. The Nissan was hit from behind by a 2004 Dodge pickup truck and the impact shoved the Nissan into the back of the BMW.

No injuries resulted, but the Jasper Fire Department responded to clean up an anti-freeze spill from a busted radiator in one of the vehicles.
