Two major projects are continuing in Jasper. The Provalus building is climbing upward, as Sandy Creek Park is expanding outward.
The framework for the second story has been erected at the Provalus Building on the southeast corner of Houston and Main Streets in downtown Jasper. That $3.1 million dollar project includes a unique sight in Jasper - a crane that towers a few hundred feet into the sky.
Meanwhile, the 2.7 million dollar expansion of Sandy Creek Park continues on the west side of Marvin Hancock Drive. Workers have completed several pavilions, restrooms, and other new amenities. The next phase will include the landscaping of the grounds and paving of parking areas.
