Jasper County Judge Mark Allen said Thursday that the county has reached a new record high number of active Coronavirus cases. Judge Allen said as of Thursday morning we had 244 active cases, and when new results came in Thursday afternoon we jumped up to 271 active cases.

The previous record high was 239 on Christmas Eve.

Additionally, Judge Allen said that 3 more deaths have occurred in recent days, bringing that number up to 47.
