The Jasper County Grand Jury convened on Thursday and after hearing evidence as submitted by District Attorney Ann Pickle and her staff handed down several indictments charging individuals with various crimes.

James Nelson, 25, of Broaddus, was charged with Indecency and Sexual Contact with a Child in connection with an incident alleged to have occurred in August of 2019.

Ashton Jamal Williams, 24, of Jasper, was charged with Aggravated Robbery with a Deadly Weapon in connection with an incident alleged to have occurred in March of 2018. Williams is accused of threatening David Henderson with a gun.

Blake Stephson, 30, of Groves, was charged with Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence with Intent to Impair. Stephson is accused of attempting to hide a container containing a glass pipe during a traffic stop that occurred in July of 2019.

Jefferey Lynn Slaydon, 32, of Jasper was charged with five counts of Burglary of a Building in connection with incidents alleged to have occurred in the Evadale Area in May of 2109. Specifically, Slaydon is charged with breaking into buildings owned by Christine Lovette Jackson, Brandie Ray Kaup, Donna Lindsey, Jessica Metts, and Jennie Barnett.

In addition, Slaydon was also charged with Evading Arrest or Detention with a Vehicle and Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence with Intent to Impair in connection with incidents alleged to have occurred in April of 2020. The indictments accuse Slaydon of running from Jasper County Sheriff’s Deputy Kevin Holloway and also trying to hide, destroy or conceal a glass pipe.

Lincoln Gary Herrington, 46, of Newton was charged with Stalking in connection with an incident alleged to have occurred in February of 2018. The indictment alleges that Herrington followed or harassed Melissa Woods.

Kody John Givens, 59, was charged with Theft of Property with a 2nd or more conviction. Givens is accused of stealing a lawn mower from Jack Armstrong in February of 2018. The indictment claims that Givens had already been charged with crimes in Tarrant County.

Tiwaunte Tyreic Turner, 20, of Woodville was charged with Attempt to Commit and act of Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence With Intent to Impair in connection with an incident alleged to have occurred in June of 2019.

Joseph Cedeno, 26, was charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. Cedeno is accused of driving a vehicle belonging to Stephanie Miller in July of 2018 without her permission. In addition, Cedeno was also charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Christopher Dwayne McAnnaly, 33, of Newton was charged with Evading Arrest or Detention with a Motor Vehicle. McAnnaly is accused of running from Officer Cody Downs in an attempt to avoid arrest in in October of 2019.

Julie Ann Jumper, 37, of Jasper was charged with Theft of Property. Jumper is accused of taking unlawfully taking control or acquiring a truck from Michael Ratliff in August of 2018.

Ramon Terrill Williams, 38 of Jasper was charged with Burglary of a Habitation with Intent of a Felony in connection with an incident alleged to have occurred in March of 2020. Williams is accused of breaking into the home of Brittany Collins.

Tommie Allen Ringo, 47, of Pineland was charged with Evading Arrest or Detention with a Previous Conviction. Ringo is accused of running from State Trooper Daniel Ramirez in an attempt to avoid arrest in December of 2018.

Marguita Shunta Reed, 34, of Jasper, was charged with Attempt to Commit Tampering or Fabricating Physical with Attempt to Impair in connection with an incident alleged to have occurred in January of 2019. The indictment accuses Reed of attempting to swallow evidence.

Larry Ladarius Rawls, 24, of Merryville was charged with Criminal Conspiracy. Rawls is accused of agreeing with another person to commit a crime in March of 2018.

Kelli Lynn Evans, 39, of Silsbee was charged with Driving While Intoxicated with a Child Under the Age of 15 in the vehicle in connection with an incident alleged to have occurred in February of 2019.

Joseph Wayne Arnold, 56, of Jasper was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance in connection with an incident alleged to have occurred in July of 2019.

Demarcus Truan Collins, 25, of Jasper was charged with Possession of Marijuana in connection with an incident alleged to have occurred in September of 2018.

Bandaren Javeon Collins, 21, of Jasper was charged with Possession of Marijuana in connection with an incident alleged to have occurred in September of 2018.

Bryce Garron Mouton, 24, of Buna was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance in connection with an incident alleged to have occurred in October of 2019.

Jimmy Loyd Midkiff, 68, of Lumberton was charged with two counts of the Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance in connection with an incident alleged to have occurred in February and May of 2018.

William Hunter Dowden, 21, of Kirbyville was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance in connection with an incident alleged to have occurred in March of 2019.

An indictment by the Grand Jury does not mean that the persons named are guilty of any crime, but instead only indicates that the jurors felt that enough evidence existed in each case to merit a trial.
