Jasper Police have filed a report after a man told them that he left his vehicle at a repair shop, but now the business has closed down and he has no idea where his vehicle is.
A report filed by Officer Brian Gray said that he met with Juan Jose Alverado Villegas on Tuesday regarding his white 1993 Ford Ranger pickup truck. The report said that Villegas told police that he left the truck at a repair shop on Highway 190 East in February, but repairs were never completed and the owner was not returning his phone calls.
Villegas said he decided to go get the truck, but he discovered that the business was closed down, a for sale sign was posted on the building, and his truck was not there.
Meanwhile, the report said that officers did some checking and discovered that the owner of the business had been in the Jasper County Jail, but was recently transferred to an Intermediate Sanction Facility, which is an in-custody treatment alternative for medium to high-risk felony offenders who are facing probation or parole revocations.
In the meantime, if you have any knowledge of where the white 1993 Ford Ranger pickup truck might be, you can contact Jasper Police at 409-384-3471. You don’t have to give your name.
