It was hot and people did not hang around but instead just drove through and got fish dinners to go.

Beech Grove Fire Chief Jamie Gunter said Saturday that he wanted to thank everyone who came out despite the heat. According to Gunter, the annual fundraiser did not do as well as in previous years due to the heat. However, Gunter said that many still came out and picked up plates to go.

The annual event is not only a way to make money each year for firefighting efforts but also a time for the community to get together and those that attended were not only treated to great food but also a Classic Car Show and a waterslide for the kids.
