Jasper County District Attorney Anne Pickle is again preparing for trial which involves a man accused of repeatedly sexually assaulting a child. According to Pickle, she and her prosecution team will be trying 28-year-old Jeremy O. Brown, of Jasper.
The prosecution, defense, and judge were set for trial in in January of this year, however, not enough prospective jurors showed up so the case had to be postponed.
Brown was arrested by the Jasper Police Department in March of 2018 on a charge of aggravated sexual assault of a child, and in April of 2018 the Jasper County Grand Jury indicted him on a charge of sexual abuse of a child continuous: victim under 14.
Pickle says Brown is accused of repeatedly sexually assaulting a girl when she was 11 and 12 years old here in Jasper.
He is represented by Nacogdoches attorney Jeremy Willis.
Jury selection is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 18th and testimony could begin as early as that afternoon in the District Courtroom of the Jasper County Courthouse.
