DailyNewsAndMore.com is reporting that a San Augustine woman is accused of assaulting two police officers and a jailer after she was very recently arrested on a public intoxication charge.
According to the report, San Augustine Police responded to a report of a woman walking in the middle of a street, and they arrived to find an intoxicated 34-year-old Charlene Chellette Warr who officers said smelled of alcohol.
The report said when police tried to place her into custody, she allegedly started kicking and biting the officers. The report went on to say that when the officers arrived at the San Augustine County Jail, the woman allegedly hit a jailer.
She was later charged with misdemeanor public intoxication, misdemeanor resisting/evading arrest, and felony assault of a public servant. Her bond was set at $3,000.00.
