The Tyler County Sheriff’s Department says that 33-year-old Bryan Duhon has now been charged with one count of murder and one count of attempted murder, and he remains in the Tyler County Jail under a $1 million dollar bond.
Meanwhile, Sheriff Bryan Weatherford has released the names of the victims. Weatherford says that James Allen Clark, 60, of Jasper, was shot and killed by Duhon during the Wednesday, November 21st incident in the Spurger Community in eastern Tyler County. The other man, 50-year-old Damon Mitchell Odom, also of Jasper, was shot and wounded and at last word he remained under treatment in a Beaumont hospital.
Early Thursday afternoon, the day after the shootings, a massive manhunt for Duhon began in Jasper County between Buna and Evadale, and ended late Friday morning when he was captured.
What may have led up to the shootings has not been disclosed by investigators.
