A bass boat makes a turn after passing under the Highway 190 Dam B Bridge. Boats have been the only 'traffic' anywhere near the bridge after it was closed in late April due to structural damage. Repairs were made and the bridge reopened to traffic on Friday, May 29th, 2020.

The Texas Department of Transportation announced Friday afternoon that the Highway 190 Bridge at Dam B has reopened. The bridge had closed on April 27th after TXDOT officials said that engineers had discovered damage to the structure, and the bridge had to be closed to traffic immediately.

Texas State Representative James White (R-Woodville) vowed that he would make sure that the repair job was done as expeditiously as possible, and true to his word the bridge reopened days before the TXDOT estimate.

The repair job, said to be just shy of $200,000.00, was contracted out to Gibson and Associates of Balch Springs.
