The Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) has announced that work will soon begin to repair flood damage to a bridge that crosses over the northern end of Lake Sam Rayburn.

According to TXDOT, the work will involve the State Highway 103 Bridge, and the $2.1 million project will repair erosion at abutments which occurred during a flood event earlier this year.

Stateline Construction, LLC out of Quitman has the contract, and part of the job includes bridge maintenance along with the erosion repairs.

Work is scheduled to begin on Monday, November 11th, and TXDOT says some delays are possible during the repair work.
