A truck driver was reportedly shaken, but uninjured after his rig rolled over at about mid-day Tuesday in Tyler County. It happened on a rain slick U.S. Highway 190 approximately a mile east of Farm to Market Road 256, and about 3 miles west of the Jasper County line.
The late model Peterbilt was hauling a load of lumber on a flatbed trailer. Most of the lumber ended up on the ground next to the highway.
A crew from a local wrecker service used a heavy-duty tow-truck and cables to upright the overturned 18-wheeler and the highway was cleared and reopened early Tuesday afternoon.
There’s no word on what caused the wreck.
