The Jasper County Grand Jury convened on Thursday and, after hearing evidence as submitted by District Attorney Anne Pickle and her staff, handed down indictments on 11 people for 12 felony charges.
Interestingly, it is the first session by the Jasper County Grand Jury in many years without one single drug related indictment.

Samuel Linwood Padgett, 27, of Jasper – March 2021 charge of driving while intoxicated (3rd or more).
An indictment by the Grand Jury does not mean that the persons named are guilty of any crime, but instead only indicates that the jurors felt that enough evidence existed in each case to merit a trial.
