For the second time in four months, fire has destroyed multiple recreational vehicles in Brookeland. The latest incident occurred at about 3:30 Wednesday afternoon at Mary's RV park on Loop 149, just south of the Brookeland schools.
Rayburn and Pineland firefighters arrived to find one travel trailer already completely destroyed and two others on each side of it were burning and partially destroyed.
Neighbors in the RV park said the original travel trailer that burned was owned by Chris Priola, but they didn’t know who the other two belonged to. The owners of the travel trailers were not there when it happened.
Meanwhile, firefighters said they didn’t know how the blaze started.
Another fire in another Brookeland RV park occurred on February 22nd and destroyed a dozen travel trailers. That incident happened at the Pine Grove RV Park on Meigs Road.
