The Jasper Lady Dawgs are ready for action as they get ready to take on Taylor on Friday.

Jasper's Lady Dawgs softball team will be traveling to Navasota on Friday to play the Taylor Ducks in the 4A Regional Quarterfinals playoff. This will be a one game match with the winner advancing to the Regional Semifinals against either Bridge City or Liberty.

There will be a send off for the girls at 11:00 am on Friday, May 13. They will depart from the bus loop of Jasper High School traveling east on Bulldog Avenue. They will turn left heading north on Highway 96, then left again at Highway 190 heading west to their destination. The Jasper community is asked to line the route described to show your love and support of these talented young ladies who have already made history in their program. They seek to continue their winning streak in their quest for a state championship. These girls have worked hard to accomplish their goals and dreams and need all of the Jasper community to show their support. Several businesses along the route have already posted their support on their message boards and we thank them. Fans with signs along the route would be a tremendous boost to these girls as they seek another victory in their journey. Best of luck to these young ladies!

A reminder, KJAS will be bringing you the game live on 107.3 FM, KFAH 99.1 FM in Pineland and live stream audio on the internet. We have submitted an application to the UIL for permission to broadcast the game with live video and are awaiting word from them.
