A car was completely destroyed and the facade of a building had damage after a Friday afternoon fire. It happened shortly after 5:00 at Angelina Grocery, located on Highway 63 West, just east of Recreational Road 255.

911 callers said that the burning car was just a few feet from the building, and the first firefighter from the Angelina River Fire Department on the scene reported that the car was fully engulfed and the building was also catching on fire. They requested for Rayburn firefighters to assist them.

Firemen quickly doused the flames and saved the building.

It's unknown how the fire began or who the car belonged to.
