The Texas Department of Public Safety has released information about a Friday evening crash just west of Jasper. Three vehicles were involved in the accident which occurred at about 6:30 on Highway 190 West at Farm to Market Road 777, directly in front of the DPS office.
DPS Sergeant Stephanie Davis said it happened when a 2013 Jeep was northbound on FM 777 and the driver failed to yield right-of-way at the stop sign and pulled out into the path of two vehicles that were both eastbound on Highway 190.
Davis said a 2019 Toyota SUV struck the driver-side door of the Jeep, and then a 2001 Ford car ran into the back of the Toyota.
The driver of the Jeep, 26-year-old Kaleb Brimer, of Emory, Texas and also the driver of the Ford, Norma Armstrong, 58, of Woodville were both reportedly uninjured.
However, the driver of the Toyota, 67-year-old Geneva Little, of Jasper, was transported to Jasper Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.
Injuries were reported in a three-vehicle accident on Friday evening just west of Jasper. It happened at about 6:30 at the intersection of U.S. Highway 190 West at Farm to Market Road 777, directly in front of the Texas Department of Public Safety office.
DPS Sergeant Stephanie Davis said no details were available. The troopers who worked this accident were busy a short time later with other accidents.
