An official with the local water providing entities in Holly Huff, Jamestown, and Harrisburg is urging customers of those water supply systems to shut off their faucets and conserve as much water as possible.

Christina Whitehead said late Wednesday morning that a worker checking on several different systems has discovered that their water tanks are critically low.

Whitehead said it’s possible that frozen water lines have ruptured as they thaw out, causing a large outflow of water on top of the water that flowed through open faucets.
