Beech Grove firefighters load Robin Brasher onto a medical helicopter after a tree fell on top of her, It occurred on Fri, Jan 14th, 2022.

Beech Grove Fire Chief Jamie Gunter says a woman was airlifted late Friday morning after a falling tree struck her on the head.

The incident occurred shortly after 11:00 at the Gary & Robin Brasher residence on County Road 298, which is about 3 miles southwest of the Jasper airport.

Gunter said the couple had been clearing some trees and brush when the incident occurred. He said the victim, Robin Brasher, suffered head trauma and a possible broken leg.

Beech Grove firefighters established a landing zone for a medical helicopter and Robin Brasher was flown to a trauma center for emergency care.

A family member later posted on social media that Mrs. Brasher was doing very well.
