Several Jasper residents came together on Saturday morning for the 9th Annual Jasper Remembers ceremony to honor the victims of the September 11th, 2001 terrorist attacks in New York City, Washington D.C., and Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

The ceremony was once again held on the northwest corner of the Jasper County Courthouse Square where an actual piece of steel from one of the two World Trade Center Towers is displayed on a memorial.

Those at the ceremony included local citizens, along with area first responders which included the Jasper, Roganville, and Beech Grove Fire Departments. Also attending were deputies from the Jasper County Sheriff’s Department and local EMS paramedics.
