Officials at Curtis United Methodist Church have announced that all church services have been temporarily suspended due to Coronavirus.
The information came on Tuesday from church member Jackie Long, who said that the church hopes to resume services as soon as possible.
The church is located on Highway 63 West in the Curtis Community, and is well known as being a landmark for drivers returning to Jasper from the Lufkin area because at night it is lit up by bright white lights.
Meanwhile, Jasper's Hillcrest Baptist Church on Highway 190 West resumed church services on Sunday, January 3rd after they had to cease operation for a few weeks following a large outbreak of Coronavirus cases within the church family.
Next door, Jasper's St Michaels Catholic Church has not cancelled services, but they have cancelled classes for those joining or converting to the Catholic Faith.
